Definitions for the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
- JAMAICA RUM FESTIVAL: Registered Brand of J. Wray & Nephew Limited.
- Individual: Person eligible to win the prize by submitting proof of purchase of 1 bottle of any Appleton Estate 750ml or 1 Liter in a supermarket, and buy 2 bottles of any Appleton Estate 200ml OR 1 bottle of any Appleton Estate 750ml or 1 Liter in selected bars.
- Promotional Period: June 26, 2024, to July 11th, 2024
- Promotion: Refers to this promotion and not any other J. Wray & Nephew Limited Promotions, Programs, Contests, Sweepstakes, or Campaigns.
- Eligible: Any individual qualified to participate in this Promotion.
- Benefit: The prize awarded to the winning individual(s).
- Each entrant must be 18 years or older as at the time of purchase and at the date of submission of the contest entry form.
Eligibility to Participate in the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
- Each entrant must be 18 years or older as at the time of purchase and at the date of submission of the contest entry form.
- Participants must either:
- Purchase one (1) bottle of any Appleton Estate rum in sizes of 750 ml or 1 litre from participating supermarkets, or
- Purchase two (2) bottles of any Appleton Estate rum 200ml, or one (1) bottle of 750ml or 1 litre from selected bars across Jamaica.
How to Enter the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
Entrant Requirements:
Required Details for Entry:
- Full name as stated on their valid identification card.
- Telephone number.
- An image of the receipt showing a valid purchase within the promotional period:
- For supermarkets: The receipt must show the name of the supermarket, the date of purchase, and the transaction/reference number for the purchase of one (1) bottle of any Appleton Estate rum in sizes of 750ml or 1 litre.
- For bars: The receipt must show the name of the bar, the date of purchase, and the transaction/reference number for the purchase of two (2) bottles of any 200ml Appleton Estate rum or one (1) bottle of 750ml or 1 litre.
- Email address.
Entry Rules:
- Entrants are entitled to one (1) entry per receipt for any qualifying purchase. Each receipt can only be submitted once.
- Entrants can submit multiple entries using different receipts for qualifying purchases.
- Entries must be made by:
- Scanning the promotional QR code,
- Messaging the WhatsApp number 876-884-2378, or
- Visiting the website https://jamaicarumfestival.com/scan-win and completing the entry form.
Validity of Entries:
- Receipts must be dated within the promotional period from June 26th, 2024, to July 11th, 2024.
- The final date and time for entering the promotion is Thursday, July 11th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
- The final draw will take place on Friday, July 12th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m., with the winner announced on Monday, July 15th, 2024.
Official Rules for the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
The promotion is scheduled to begin on June 26th, 2024, and end on July 11th, 2024, subject to these terms and conditions.
a. Each entrant must be 18 years or older as at the time of purchase and at the date of submission of the contest entry form.
b. Entrants must live or reside in Jamaica.
c. Prize winners must redeem prizes awarded in the 1st drawing on or before July 5th, 2024, and must redeem prizes awarded in the 2nd drawing on or before July 15th, 2024, if not, these prizes will be retained by J. Wray & Nephew Limited.
d. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or a prize of equal value.
e. Entrants are only eligible to win a prize once and cannot win it multiple times.
f. All winners understand and agree that it is a requirement that they sign a release and discharge of liability form at the time of collection of their prize, otherwise the prize will not be handed over and instead will be forfeited.
g. All winners agree and understand that J. Wray & Nephew Limited is not responsible for any costs associated with collection of the prize.
h. Unclaimed prizes will remain the property of J. Wray & Nephew Limited.
i. A winner will forfeit their claim to a prize for any of the following reasons:
i. Individual is unable to produce a valid government-issued ID and receipt as proof of purchase at time of collection of the prize.
ii. Individual refuses to allow J. Wray & Nephew Limited (under the Appleton Estate brand) to use their name and likeness and/or to participate in Appleton Estate advertising and public relations campaign relating to the competition whether in electronic, print or other media, for no further consideration.
iii. Individual refuses to sign a release and discharge of liability form with J. Wray & Nephew Limited in relation to the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum Festival prize.
j. Employees of J. Wray & Nephew Limited or any of its subsidiaries, its auditors, Mystique Integrated Services Limited, Ignite and affiliates, members of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission and the immediate families of the above-named groups – that is their parents, siblings, spouse or children are ineligible for participation of any kind.
k. Information collected from you during this promotion will not be used by J. Wray & Nephew Limited for any purpose outside of the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions. After the period of the promotion has ended your information will be destroyed and will not be sold or otherwise transferred to any third party for any reason including marketing and promotion purposes unless you provide such consent for marketing and promotion purposes.
l. J. Wray & Nephew Limited reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any entrant or winner, with consultation or prior approval from the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission, where the entrant or winner: –
i. Is found to be ineligible and/or
ii. Has violated any rule of the Competition stated herein and/or
iii. Tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or operation of the Competition or the Competition Website and/or
iv. Supplies untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
m. Determination of the winners are final. Once the criteria are met for claiming a prize and a prize awarded, any person(s) wishing to dispute the awarding of the prize should send communication in writing to the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
- Liability: J. Wray & Nephew Limited will not be held liable for damage, loss, or injury suffered by any entrant as a result of the Promotion; nor is J. Wray & Nephew Limited liable for any defects in prizes.
- Publicity: Winners agree that (except where prohibited) the sponsor or promoter may use their name, picture, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation.
- Data Use: By providing personal information, entrants consent to J. Wray & Nephew Limited and affiliate agencies’ collection, use, and disclosure of that information for the promotion. Personal details will only be used for the sole purpose of administering this Promotion and will not be retained unless otherwise consented by the applicant.
- Terms Agreement: All entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Prizes for the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
- Number of Prizes Available: 400 TICKETS
- Amount of Prize: Two Tickets each
- Total Value: JA$6,200,000.00
- Prize Conditions:
- The prizes are non-transferrable, and may not be exchanged for cash or a prize of equal value and an entrant can only win one prize.
- Winner Notification: The first two hundred (200) names drawn will be initial winners of two tickets. Two (2) backup winners will be selected for each winner.
- Winners will be notified via phone within 72 hours of the drawing with a maximum of two (2) calls to the winner. A call is deemed failed if it rings until voicemail or disconnection.
- Winners must present a valid photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID) to claim prizes.
- Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after the stipulated period and retained by the promoter. Backup winners will be selected if the original winner cannot be contacted.
Draw for the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
The promotion runs from June 26, 2024, to July 11th, 2024, inclusive. The draw dates are July 5th, and July 12th, 2024. The execution of the promotion is detailed as follows:
1st Draw:
● Close of Entries – Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
● Winner Draw – Friday, July 5th, 2024, at 9 a.m.
● Winner Announcement – Monday July 8th, 2024.
2nd Draw:
● Close of Entries – Thursday, July 11th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
● Winner Draw – Friday, July 12th, 2024, at 9 a.m.
● Winner Announcement – Monday July 15th, 2024
Selection for the “Jamaica Rum Festival Scan & Win” Promotion
- The Selection Process:
- Only eligible entries will be submitted to the prize draw. Eligible entries are those that were successfully submitted with completed entry forms with a valid corresponding receipt attached and no evidence of fraud.
- On draw dates, stated above, the selection of the winners will be conducted electronically via a Random Number Generation system at Ignite Holdings Group of Companies Limited at 57a old harbour road, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica.
- At each draw, a second and third selection will be done for the purpose of having backup winners. Backup winners will be contacted in the event that the entrant:
- Is not reached after two (2) phone call attempts.
- Is unable to verify their entry or identity.
- Is unable to be in attendance on presentation day
- Is a member of any of the groups excluded from the promotion.
- No more than two attempts will be made to contact any given entrant on July 8th and July 15th, 2024, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- There will be Two Hundred (200) winners in total island wide as follows:-
- Two Hundred (200) winners will receive for themselves two (2) tickets to the 2024 staging of the Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum Festival. There will be One Hundred (100) winners selected weekly at each draw.
- Once an entrant has been successfully contacted, the representative will verify the winner’s identity by requesting their full name and purchase information and whether they are among the groups excluded from participating in the promotion. If answered correctly and the entrant is a valid participant, he/she will be informed.
- All winners must present a valid government-issued photo ID, (Driver’s licence, Voters ID or Passport) in order to redeem their prize and the original or digital copy of the physical receipt as proof of purchase when redeeming their prize.

By entering this promotion, participants agree to Campari processing their personal data for the purposes of this promotion, in accordance with our privacy policy.
